Cannon injury could provide opportunity for George Evans

Parkinson now has another selection dilemma in his midfield following the injury to Cannon. Matty James and George Dobson have struggled to play together, meaning a more dynamic solution is required.

Elliott Lee has given no time frame on his return, therefore the injury could provide an opportunity for George Evans to stake a claim in midfield after making just five league appearances so far this season.

Another option for the Red Dragons boss could be to move McClean into midfield and keep the resurgent Sebastian Revan at left wing-back after impressing in the Wrexham player ratings against Mansfield Town.

Whatever Parkinson chooses, he needs to ensure that the right balance between hard work and creativity is met with his selection, otherwise his strikers will go back to being starved of service.
