Wrexham fans are looking for signings in this January transfer window but Phil Parkinson may leave supporters waiting a while yet.
Wrexham were supposed to be in EFL Trophy action on Tuesday night but adverse weather conditions put paid to that.
Port Vale against Wrexham was postponed and that leaves Wrexham with more than a week to wait until facing Shrewsbury.
With more than a week without a game, Wrexham players can rest with Phil Parkinson keen for the squad to recharge.
There will be a real focus placed on the transfer window though with Parkinson potentially able to commit more time to potential incomings.
Wrexham sit third in the League One table and key additions this month could make a third promotion in a row a reality.

Phil Parkinson could make Wrexham fans wait
We are only just over a week into January but there will be Wrexham fans growing a little twitchy with no incoming deals looking particularly close right now.
Fans up and down the EFL want big additions and they want them now.
Wrexham want a new striker and have been linked with so many players already but history tells us that Parkinson won’t be rushing into deals.
Look back to Parkinson’s first January at Wrexham and you will see three signings; Ollie Palmer, Callum McFadzean and Thomas O’Connor.
Wrexham weren’t confined to just January signings in non-league but Parkinson left it late to raid EFL clubs during their window.
Those three deals came inside the final week of the window, with deals being confirmed on January 24, 27 and 31 respectively.
2023 brought a similar story as Wrexham made just one signing, snapping up defender Eoghan O’Connell on January 31.
Last year’s January window saw Wrexham complete two deadline day deals with Luke Bolton and Jack Marriott arriving.
Luke McNicholas had his loan spell turned permanent on January 23, but the new arrivals only came in on February 1.
This trend shows that Parkinson is happy to wait it out for the right deal, with almost all of his business coming in the final days of the window.
It’s only January 8 right now, so Wrexham fans may need to wait a week or two before Parkinson really ramps up Wrexham’s recruitment push.
Ben Tozer has made similar Parkinson claim
This considerable break may change Parkinson’s approach but his patience in the market has been highlighted by one former Wrexham star.
Speaking late in December, Ben Tozer predicted no Wrexham signings on January 1 – and he was certainly proven right.
Tozer suggested that Parkinson is likely to wait until the end of the window for new signings, believing that other clubs will be trying to squeeze as much money out of Wrexham as possible.
“He will probably wait until the last two or three days,” said Tozer. “But that’s because teams are going to be thinking ‘Wrexham need this, Wrexham need that, we’re going to charge you this, we’re going to charge you that’.
“You’ve almost got to plant that seed into the player’s head, let the club know, let the player get a little bit upset – not too much because obviously you want to sign the right characters – and then by the end of the window, they ultimately – and I don’t like to say it – force their way out and force their way here,” he added.
It’s early days but Wrexham have been quiet – and that may be just how Parkinson likes it as he seeks the very best deals.
