Wrexham take on Charlton Athletic this weekend and Phil Parkinson will be looking for a big result in South London.
Wrexham are back on the road once again this weekend as a testing period of three games in seven days nears its end.
Straight after the international break, Wrexham were pressed into action away from home as Phil Parkinson and co headed to Rotherham United.
Paul Mullin’s goal grabbed the win for Wrexham before a 0-0 draw at home to Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night.
Wrexham must now head away from home once again with Charlton Athletic the opponents in South London.
Charlton certainly seem up for this game having pushed a ‘Welcome to London’ campaign, poking fun at Wrexham’s documentary series.

Nathan Jones rages at Charlton Athletic
This promises to be another tricky game – and potentially another tight one after just one goal in Wrexham’s last two games.
Charlton sit 11th in League One but are the only team in the league to have beaten Birmingham City so far this season.
The Addicks are a dangerous prospect but boss Nathan Jones has laid into his own players.
Charlton drew 2-2 at Barnsley in midweek, equalising to make it 1-1 in the 77th minute before taking the lead on 93 minutes.
Barnsley scored again just two minutes later, meaning Charlton dropped two points just moments after taking the lead.
Jones told South London Press that he was ‘bitterly disappointed’ with his side’s overall performance at Oakwell.
The Welshman highlighted that Charlton ‘didn’t win a header all night’ and slammed his players for not doing the basics right.
“I’m bitterly disappointed. The level of performance was a mile off what I expected, what we prepared for and what we did,” said Jones.
“If we had done the basics better tonight then we’d have won the game. But we didn’t and even the chances they had, if we won our headers tonight – both of their goals came from us not winning headers. They hit the bar from us not winning headers.
“If we want to go where we want to go – we didn’t win a header all night. You come away from home – we set up to play football , be fluent and a Charlton side to be proud of – but we didn’t do the basics. Last season we did the basics really, really well – we headed it, defended the box and were difficult to beat. Tonight we weren’t and that’s because the basics weren’t done right,” he added.
Wrexham will look to expose Charlton weakness
Jones will hope for a response from his players against Wrexham but those comments will not have gone unnoticed by Phil Parkinson and co.
Wrexham are so good from set pieces and get the ball into the box quickly.
If a team doesn’t win their headers against Wrexham, they will be in for a rather long day against Ryan Barnett and his crosses into the box.
Barnett ran riot against Northampton Town earlier this month, racking up three assists and even helping setting up the other goal with another right-wing cross.
Ollie Palmer and a fit and firing Paul Mullin will be licking their lips at the prospect of facing Charlton after those Jones comments and Parkinson will surely look to get the ball into the box early and often in an attempt to really test this Addicks back line.
