Mark Howard praised after leaving Wrexham
The Red Dragons let a number of players depart the Racecourse Ground at the end of their contracts in June.
It was confirmed in May that Mark Howard was leaving Wrexham for free, with the goalkeeper going in search of more regular playing time.
Following his exit announcement, co-owner Ryan Reynolds sent a message to Howard.
He wrote: “And @markhoward.1 — how on earth do we put into words the clutch work you do as a keeper. You have the hardest job in football. And you can’t have that ability without being a clutch person in life. You have a beautiful family and you have a second family in Wrexham now and always. You’re the big beating heart of this team and the reason we have the best locker room in sports.”
Reynolds added: “Fletch and Chomp, you’ve authored some of the greatest moments of my life. And so many others. All I can do is thank you.”
Howard has since signed for Salford City and after making his competitive debut on Tuesday, the North West outfit dedicated an Instagram post to the former Wrexham man.
They wrote: “Solid in the sticks tonight.”
