Wrexham said an emotional goodbye to Jordan Davies over the summer, and the midfielder is now catching the eye for Fleetwood Town.
Promotion to the Championship meant a series of difficult departures for Wrexham.
Steven Fletcher was released, Paul Mullin joined Wigan Athletic, and Ollie Palmer signed for Swindon Town as three striking heroes moved on.
Wrexham also released Jordan Davies, allowing the midfielder to walk away at the end of his contract.

Fleetwood Town boss hails former Wrexham favourite Jordan Davies
Mullin was Wrexham’s biggest name in the rise from the National League, but Davies was a fan favourite in his own right.
Davies was a hometown hero who returned to the club from Brighton and Hove Albion, having been plucked by the Seagulls as a youngster.
Davies didn’t expect the Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds era to begin just a year later, and he played a key role in the rise with 15 National League goals in the 2021-22 season.
The 27-year-old gradually fell out of Parkinson’s plans at Wrexham, and he departed his hometown club once again this summer.
Davies recently joined Fleetwood Town and is now earning rave reviews from manager Pete Wild.
Speaking on Fleetwood’s official website after Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Walsall, Wild believes that Davies ‘showed his quality’ against the Saddlers.
Wild suggested that Davies brings ‘something different’ to the Fleetwood side and is adding real creativity – something Wrexham fans saw during his time at the STōK Cae Ras.
“Jordan is still finding his feet at this level, but he showed his quality in spells and will only get better with games,” said Wild.
“He gives us something different in terms of trying to break teams down, and I thought he added to us today,” he added.
Jordan Davies stats in impressive Fleetwood display
Davies set up Fleetwood’s goal against Walsall, sending in a brilliant left-footed cross for Ryan Graydon to head home.
The former Wrexham star has consistently provided quality on his left foot, and he came so close to scoring a goal of his own, testing Walsall goalkeeper Myles Roberts with a fine free-kick.
SofaScore rated Davies at 7.6 out of 10 for his display against Walsall, level with Man of the Match Graydon.
Davies had 47 touches of the ball against Walsall and racked up three key passes, showing off his creativity from midfield.
Davies also won all five of his ground duels for Fleetwood and is starting to gather momentum after waiting longer than expected for an opportunity away from Wrexham.
Wrexham fans will continue to support Davies from afar and would love to see him recapture his best form after signing on with Fleetwood.
