Paul Mullin and Ollie Palmer have been scoring goals this season, but another former Wrexham man is outdoing them both.

As was expected going into the summer, both Paul Mullin and Ollie Palmer have left Wrexham.

Mullin has departed on a season-long loan, joining League One outfit Wigan Athletic.

Palmer has moved to Swindon Town on a free transfer after having his contract terminated by the Dragons.

So far this season, both players have been able to find the back of the net on several occasions, but another ex-player is outdoing them both.

Former Wrexham player outscoring Paul Mullin and Ollie Palmer

Mullin scored his first goal away from Wrexham in August, netting for Wigan in a Carabao Cup match against Notts County.

Meanwhile, Palmer scored a brace vs Hull City before securing a transfer away from the Racecourse.

While he’s only been at Swindon for less than a week, the 33-year-old has already found the back of the net for Ian Holloway’s side.

Palmer scored against Reading in the EFL Trophy earlier this week, taking his tally for the season up to three.

However, a former Wrexham man, who had a very brief stint at the Racecourse Ground, has netted more than both this season despite not playing as a striker.

That man is Omari Patrick, who, despite featuring as a left-sided midfielder or as a number 10, has four goals and two assists in six matches for Tranmere Rovers.

Omari Patrick Wrexham career

International fans brought to Wrexham following the takeover may not be familiar with Omari Patrick.

The 29-year-old joined the Red Dragons back in 2019, signing a short-term loan deal in November of that year.

Patrick said when signing, “I am delighted to join Wrexham. I have played here before and it is a good set-up.

“Everybody is so welcoming and I can feel a really good team spirit so that is good for someone like me to come in and try and do the best I can.”

He arrived from Bradford City, and though his spell was brief, he had a prolific 10 games, in which he found the back of the net 10 times.
