Ollie Palmer called time on his Wrexham career last week and has now scored his first goal post-exit.
Phil Parkinson dropped Ollie Palmer from his League One team at the end of January 2025.
Palmer was told to go out on loan by Parkinson earlier this year, but opted to stick around for the remainder of 2024/25.
However, he was once again missing from Wrexham’s Championship team during the opening few matches of the current campaign.
Now, Palmer has joined Swindon Town on a permanent basis after his contract with the Dragons was terminated by mutual consent.

Ryan Reynolds reacts to Ollie Palmer’s first goal after leaving Wrexham
Palmer made his Swindon debut this past weekend, coming off the bench in a win over Crewe Alexandra.

Reynolds then quoted the video on his Instagram story and tagged both Palmer and Swindon.
What Ryan Reynolds said about Ollie Palmer leaving Wrexham
Palmer cemented himself as a club icon during his three and a half years at Wrexham.
After signing from AFC Wimbledon, he and Paul Mullin formed a formidable strike partnership that carried the Dragons from the National League to League One.
Reynolds sent a message to Palmer upon his exit being confirmed.
He wrote: “Gut punch… Ollie is a big reason we’re in this league today. Not to mention the boundless charisma and charm… he harnessed a lifetime of talent, heart and work-ethic to push Wrexham AFC and the town forward.
“Spending time with Ollie’s incredible family: his wife, Caitlin, amazing kids and his dad, Andy, are forever-memories. Ollie is my friend now and always.
“The silver lining is Swindon Town is an excellent club and they get to experience that same feeling Rob Mac and I felt as Ollie steps onto the pitch at The County Ground to push Swindon FC forward and up the pyramid. Thank you, Ollie.”
