Wrexham face Stevenage at home in their next League One fixture following an encouraging 1-1 draw with Birmingham City.
Wrexham fans were impressed with the performance against Birmingham that saw Phil Parkinson’s side desperately unlucky not to snatch all three points.
There was more good news for the Red Dragons, as Wrexham confirmed the signing of Ryan Longman from Hull City and announced new contracts for Jack Marriott and Jacob Mendy.
Other League One fixtures have taken place since the draw at the Racecourse Ground with the Blues and Wrexham would have been keeping a keen eye on the results.

Wrexham given promotion boost as Wycombe and Huddersfield drop points in League One
Promotion rivals Wycombe Wanderers and Huddersfield Town were in League One action and both sides dropped points in the race for promotion.
Wycombe were held to a 0-0 draw at home to Northampton to miss the chance to go five points clear of Wrexham in the final automatic promotion spot.
Huddersfield also missed the chance to close the gap on Wrexham as they were defeated 1-0 at home to managerless Bolton Wanderers, Town are now four points behind the Red Dragons with a game in hand.
Both results were a huge boost to Wrexham, who now need to concentrate on continuing their magnificent home form and improving upon their wretched away record.
January striker signing holds the key for Wrexham’s Championship push
Wrexham are pushing for a new striker in this January transfer window and have been linked with a whole host of names.
Wrexham were interested in Joe Gelhardt before his move to Hull City and have also pursued the likes of Patrick Bamford and Ryan Hardie but as of yet to no avail.

Paul Mullin struggling for goals as is strike partner Ollie Palmer and while their hard work and endeavour cannot be questioned, there is the feeling that a proven goalscorer is missing from Wrexham’s ranks.
Whether Phil Parkinson can get a deal over the line before January’s deadline remains to be seen but the club may not have a better opportunity to reach the Championship with such inconsistency going on around them.
