Wrexham have enjoyed a period of positivity following a morale-boosting performance against Birmingham City and the arrival of a new signing.
Wrexham confirmed the signing of Ryan Longman from Hull City just hours after having secured a 1-1 draw with League One leaders Birmingham City at the Racecourse Ground.
Phil Parkinson’s side dominated the match and were perhaps unlucky not to walk away with three points having had the majority of the chances, especially in the second half.
Longman will be hoping to make his mark straight away on the Wrexham side by being involved against Stevenage in the next match and the new signing has been speaking about his move to North Wales.

Ryan Longman says he will bring ‘experience and energy’ to the Wrexham squad
After signing a contract to keep him at the Red Dragons until the end of the 2026/27 season, Longman has been speaking to Wrexham’s official YouTube channel about his upcoming adventure with the club.
Longman was asked what he will bring to the side and stated to the fans: “I’d like to think I can bring a lot of energy, quality in the final third and I’d like to think I’ll help out with a few goals and assists.”
Longman revealed that he almost signed for the club in the summer. Wrexham fans are delighted with the signing of Longman as they believe he will add that much-needed injection of pace in the final third.
A Hull City expert believes Longman should play wing-back in Parkinson’s current system but the versatility of the new signing will give the manager plenty of options moving forward.
Wrexham announce contract extensions for Jack Marriott and Jacob Mendy
It was thought that Longman’s arrival could spell the end for Jacob Mendy however, Wrexham have announced that Mendy has signed a new contract with the club until the end of the 2025-26 season.
Mendy has made just seven appearances for the club in all competitions this season but will hoping that his new deal can revitalise his career at the Racecourse.

Wrexham have also extended Jack Marriott’s contract until the end of the 2025-26 season, with an option for a further year.
Marriott has recently returned from a broken fibula and will be hoping to continue from his excellent start to the season where he scored five goals in ten games.
