Several Wrexham stars were called up for international duty during the last window; however, one of those selected is an omission for his nation this time around.
Craig Bellamy announced that two Wrexham stars would be part of the Wales squad for their fixtures against England and Belgium, yet Danny Ward has missed out through injury.
One player has impressed since joining the Red Dragons on loan this season from Manchester City, and it has seen the Wrexham fans and Phil Parkinson fall in love with Issa Kabore.
Yet, one of the key players in the Welsh club’s turn of form across recent Championship matches is a notable omission from Steve Clarke’s squad.

Dominic Hyam was not selected for Scotland
Scotland are set to face Greece and Belarus in World Cup qualifying in the next international window; however, Dominic Hyam was an omission from the squad.
He was one of the summer signings made by Wrexham as they spent £33 million in the transfer market; however, despite the player being an important player in the Red Dragons’ upturn in form following the last international break.
Hyam is likely to be disappointed not to have been selected by Steve Clarke for the fixtures with Scotland, as he has previously represented them with incredible pride.
However, Phil Parkinson may be pleased, as it means one of his key players will not possibly get injured while playing for his nation.

Steve Clarke trusts Dominic Hyam
The Wrexham defender has been part of the Scotland side previously, and the manager of the national team has spoken previously about why he has selected Hyam.
Steve Clarke has previously mentioned that he trusts the central defender, and this is why he has been called upon to represent Scotland.
As reported by the Daily Record, he said: “Obviously, he was a late call-up, but one we have been keeping an eye on of late.
“He’s playing in a confident team who are fifth in the Championship and just lost out in the quarter-final of the FA Cup. A player who has come through the system – we know all about him, and I think Steve was at the game at the weekend against Sheffield United.

“He plays left-sided centre-back, but we know he can play in the middle as well. He’s got experience; he’s playing with confidence. In the short conversations I have had with him, he seems a confident and intelligent guy who knows a little bit about the game.
“So, I am looking forward to finding out about it. There is no reason why he can’t come in and fit in like the other guys have done. He seems to have the right personality, and that does help.
“You wouldn’t think Dominic and Angus were coming in for the first time with this group of players. You’d think they’d been in previous squads. You have to take your hat off to the guys who are there who make them feel comfortable and welcome.”
