Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson will assess his players ahead of facing Sheffield Wednesday this weekend, with some injury concerns in mind.
Wrexham are at home once again this weekend, taking on Sheffield Wednesday at the STōK Cae Ras.
Phil Parkinson has suffered a tricky start to the season, with Wrexham losing at Southampton in heartbreaking fashion before a 3-2 defeat to West Bromwich Albion last weekend.
Wrexham should not be panicking just yet, but this weekend’s clash with Sheffield Wednesday represents a perfect chance to grab a first win.
Wednesday have been through a difficult summer amid financial problems and players walking out of the club, so they join Wrexham on zero points after two games.
Owls goalkeeper Pierce Charles is now injured, meaning an emergency signing is being targeted ahead of facing Wrexham as Wednesday’s difficulties continue.

New Zealand boss unsure on Liberato Cacace fitness
Parkinson will assess his squad for the game, with former Wednesday forward Josh Windass set to miss out.
Andy Cannon and Jay Rodriguez remain sidelined, and Parkinson now has concerns over Liberato Cacace.
Summer signing Cacace missed the West Brom clash with a hamstring injury, which Parkinson decided not to risk.
Cacace has now been called up by New Zealand for two games against Australia in September, despite concerns over his injury.
New Zealand boss Darren Bazeley has now commented on Cacace’s injury, admitting that he isn’t even sure whether the defender will be available come September.
Speaking to Friends of Football in New Zealand, Bazeley suggested that New Zealand are still waiting to find out whether Wrexham will release Cacace for international duty next month.
“Obviously, we’ve got Libby, who’s carrying a slight hamstring,” said Bazeley.
“He didn’t play for his club this weekend. We’re still waiting to see how fit he’ll be come the window,” he added.

Wrexham won’t take any chances on Liberato Cacace
Parkinson took the safe route on Saturday, leaving Cacace out against West Brom to prevent any further problems.
It’s unclear whether Cacace will be in contention to face Sheffield Wednesday this weekend, but Parkinson won’t take any chances – and that is also likely to be the case with New Zealand.
If Cacace is only able to start from the bench in upcoming games against Wednesday, Preston North End and Millwall, then Wrexham may be reluctant to fly him across the world for two international games in a matter of days.
This would be a blow for New Zealand and also for Cacace, who would undoubtedly love to play in two big games against Australia.
Cacace’s Wrexham commitments take priority, though, and Parkinson will be faced with a tough decision in terms of the wing-back’s international involvement in the coming days.
