Josh Windass joined Wrexham over the summer and now has the same goal as co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac.
Windass has impressed during his limited outings for the Red Dragons so far, already scoring three in six Championship appearances.
Now 31, the attacking midfielder is a veteran second-tier player, having featured 179 times, scored 43 and assisted 17 in the competition.
His quality is clear for all to see, but the Englishman has never played in the Premier League, something he is looking to change.

Josh Windass wants to reach the Premier League with Wrexham
Speaking to The Athletic, Windass outlined his desire to play in the top-flight and highlighted how Wrexham have the same ‘ambition’.
He said: “Playing in the Premier League drives me. I’m 31, so if there is a chance to get to the Premier League, this is the best option. No one sold it (the move) to me. I could see the players coming in and the standard of the team we’d have.
“Playing at this level, I know the players you need to be successful and we have all the ingredients here.
“I’ve been trying to play for a Championship team that wants to get up there for a while. The ambition of the football club is to do that, hopefully this season.”
Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac have a plan to take Wrexham to the Premier League, and are hoping to achieve that goal by the end of the 2026/27 season.
While Windass expressed hope it could happen this season, it does seem somewhat unlikely given their start.

Phil Parkinson’s ability to win promotion from the Championship has been questioned as well.
But Shaun Harvey has insisted that Wrexham are backing their manager.
He said: “Phil’s our man. We’ve backed it. We’ve backed him from the start. We backed him from four years ago. We’ve had all the success under that regime. Why should we start panicking now?”
