Wrexham have sent a message following a player deciding that his football career is now over.
Wrexham fans have had to get used to players they love leaving the Racecourse Ground under Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac.
The Red Dragons’ meteoric rise up the EFL has forced them to make wholesale changes to their squad every year in order to be competitive at higher levels.
We saw this over the summer, with a total of 20 players leaving Wrexham, including a star Mac wanted to stay.

Wrexham send message to Steven Fletcher
Steven Fletcher was released by Wrexham when his contract expired on June 30.
The Scottish striker previously revealed that prior to his departure, Mac begged Fletcher to stay in North Wales.
He said: “Rob loved his golf as much as I did, so he invited me to play in the summer there. We went to Vegas after getting promoted.
“After Vegas, all the boys flew home, but me and Elliot Lee flew to LA to meet the owner to play a few rounds of golf with him. In the buggy, he begged me to stay, but two days later I got released.”
Now, Fletcher has announced his retirement from football this week, and Wrexham have sent a message to the player.
He confirmed the news in an Instagram post, and Wrexham’s official account has now commented.
They wrote: “There really was nobody better. All the best, Fletch.”
