Ollie Palmer left Wrexham this summer to join an in-form Swindon Town, who are thriving in League Two.
After three prolific years at the club, Wrexham terminated Ollie Palmer’s contract in late August so he could secure a free transfer.
Palmer has joined Swindon Town in League Two, and Ian Holloway has praised the ex-Wrexham striker for his displays so far.
The 33-year-old found the back of the net three times for the Dragons in the league last season.
But he is already up and running at Swindon this year, playing a key role in the club matching an impressive record.

How Ollie Palmer is faring at Swindon Town
Palmer scored his first Swindon goal on September 2 in a 3-2 win over Reading in the EFL Trophy.
Another former Wrexham man, Jack Marriott, also found the net in that fixture for the Royals.
In League Two, Palmer is yet to start under Holloway but has come off the bench in their last three outings.
Swindon have won all of those fixtures and scored three goals in each of them.
Now, with the help of Palmer, the League Two outfit have scored three-plus goals in four consecutive games for the first time since 1991.
They are set to face Salford City this weekend, and should they score at least three in that match, it will be the first time since 1962 that they have found the back of the net three times in five consecutive matches.
Should Wrexham have let Ollie Palmer leave
Palmer didn’t want to leave Wrexham earlier this year when Phil Parkinson told him to go out on loan.
He said: “He [Parkinson] thinks it’s best for me to go out on loan, I said I want to be part of the promotion. I’ve given everything to this club and the community and loved it.
“Why would I then want to…. It’s just I’ve built a bond with the boys and the staff and the fans, and everything to do with Wrexham.
“I just don’t know what to do. You don’t want to be somewhere where you’re not wanted, but my heart is to be at this football club and continue what I’ve been doing and help the team in any way, so I just don’t know.”
But now he has departed, Parkinson has been left with a hole in his squad.
Kieffer Moore is the only viable target man option, with Ryan Hardie and Sam Smith yet to prove they can excel in that role.
Palmer may not have been good enough to play regularly in the Championship, but his exit does mean that the Dragons are short of quality big men for the next several months.
