Ollie Palmer has now left Wrexham after over three years and as many promotions.

The Red Dragons have seen a complete overhaul of their striker department over the summer.

Steven Fletcher and Sam Dalby were released at the end of their contracts in June.

Paul Mullin has moved to Wigan Athletic on a season-long loan deal, and Jack Marriott has moved to Reading.

Most recently, Ollie Palmer left Wrexham after having his contract with the club terminated by mutual consent.

The 33-year-old has moved to Swindon Town and made his debut on Saturday.

Swindon faced off with Crewe Alexandra in a League Two meeting on August 30.

Palmer featured in the match, which saw his new team come away with an impressive 3-0 win.

Holloway brought the former Wrexham man on in the second half, and while he did not score, the striker has earned high praise from the former Premier League boss.

He told the BBC: “Some of those chests off, some of those flicks, that is a world of knowledge.

“Some centre-forwards can try that for years and never get them right. He does it naturally… He is just a genuine, genuinely very, very, very good footballer and a brilliant person.”

How can Wrexham fans see Ollie Palmer in action next

Wrexham beat Millwall 2-0 on Saturday afternoon, and they are now out of action until September 13.

However, League One and League Two, unless a club requests that a game be postponed, carries on over the international break.

That means Palmer will now play two matches over the next seven days, the first of which comes on Tuesday against Marriott’s Reading in the EFL Trophy at 7pm BST.

Swindon then play Barrow in a League Two meeting on September 6 at 3pm UK time.
