Wrexham striker Paul Mullin has been far from his best during large periods of the current campaign.
The Red Dragons snapped up Paul Mullin on a free transfer in July of 2021 from Cambridge United.
That signing has proven to be arguably the best in the club’s history, with the striker scoring over 20 goals in every season he has completed at the Racecourse Ground.
However, his 2024/25 form has been far from ideal, with some concerning Mullin League One data emerging last month.
Wrexham face Cambridge United in 3pm kick-off on Saturday, December 14th in Wales.
Mullin could line out against his former club in the clash but Phil Parkinson has benched the centre-forward for the club’s previous five matches.
The 30-year-old continues to earn minutes off the bench, but Mullin is missing a lot of chances for Wrexham in these outings.

Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson on Paul Mullin
Mullin missed the beginning of the 2024/25 season after undergoing surgery over the summer.
Going without a proper pre-season is not ideal for any player no matter how good they are and this has likely played a role in his current form.
However, one goal in 17 League One matches this term is not great, especially with Wrexham’s other strikers also struggling to find the back of the net.
Ollie Palmer is the highest-scoring, fit striker the Red Dragons have at present, with three netted in the league.
So, as the battle for promotion is heating up, Wrexham will need to get Mullin firing as quickly as possible.
And when speaking to the media this week, as per BBC Sport, Parkinson issued a verdict on the number nine that may excite fans.
He said: “Mulls is ready and chomping at the bit.”

How many goals has Paul Mullin scored for Wrexham
The Liverpool-born star found the back of the net an impressive 28 times in 39 matches during his debut campaign in Wales.
Mullin then scored a staggering 46 goals in all competitions during Wrexham’s promotion-winning season in 2022/23.
The goals slowed down somewhat in 2023/24 but his tally of 26 in 43 was still crucial to the club finishing second in League One.
This term, as already mentioned, Mullin has just one goal in the league and has scored twice in the EFL Trophy, giving him an overall total of 103 from 155 appearances.
