Wrexham are pushing for yet another promotion, and in March, the Red Dragons took a giant leap towards that goal, with Phil Parkinson pulling out an impressive run of results.
Just a few weeks ago, it was Wycombe who were in the driving seat in this enthralling promotion race in League One.
However, Wrexham managed to put together a strong run of form last month, defeating Wycombe, as well as promotion hopefuls Huddersfield, to seize control of the battle for second place.
As things stand, Wrexham hold the advantage with a three-point cushion over Wycombe, and they look well-placed now to gain that historic third-successive promotion.

Phil Parkinson crowned League One Manager of the Month
Earlier this week, we revealed Phil Parkinson had been nominated for the League One Manager of the Month award. Now, we’re delighted to announce the Wrexham manager has won the prize.
On taking the award, Parkinson said: “I’m delighted to get the award. It was a good effort through the month of March by all the staff and players and it has set us up nicely for the run-in.”
Danny Wilson, the chair of the Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month judging panel, said: “Wrexham continued on their quest for back to back promotions with a 16 point return with victories over fellow promotion rivals Wycombe and Huddersfield in March. Phil will be delighted by stacking up a superb points haul in March.”
Sky Sports’ EFL pundit Don Goodman said: “Wrexham have become a very efficient team and are constantly finding new ways to get over the line and secure three points.
“Phil Parkinson put together a team with a goal of reaching the second tier of English football, and a terrific March has put them in an excellent position to do so. They picked up 16 points from a busy month which included seven games.”

Phil Parkinson might be the best manager in the Football League, but the Championship will test him
Phil Parkinson can add this award to his many that have come before, along with trophies, promotions, and the respect from his peers in the Football League.
His longevity and incredible consistency over the years have surely earned Parkinson a place in the hall of fame for EFL managers, and yet his biggest and more impressive success is still to come (hopefully) this season.
Parkinson’s astounding record with Wrexham has included back-to-back promotions, big points hauls, and a commendable evolution over the last four years at the club.
Indeed, Parkinson looks like he can lead Wrexham to the Championship now, but, what then? His record in the second tier is far from remarkable, and it will be yet another stern test of his credentials.
That said, whenever he has worked in the Championship before, he’s not been blessed with the talent, financial backing, and special connection he has at Wrexham. Perhaps, this time, it will all be different, and the Hollywood fairytale will continue.
