March was a great month for Wrexham, setting them up for success in the early stages of April as the Red Dragons take hold of second place in the League One table.
After a period of uncertainty in the New Year, Wrexham are now pushing on towards promotion to the Championship and look good value to follow Birmingham City in the automatic spots.
According to supercomputer data, Wrexham will go up with 89 points this season, and gain that historic third-successive promotion they crave.
Phil Parkinson and his men have pulled together at the right time of the season, and are now on a run of six wins in the last eight, with just one defeat in there.

Phil Parkinson nominated for League One Manager of the Month award
That progress has caught the eye across the Football League, and now, the Wrexham manager has been nominated for the League One Manager of the Month award for March.
The folks on the Sky judging panel said: “Parkinson has built a squad that knows how to win promotion after doing so in the past two seasons. He drew on that mentality to emerge from a set of difficult-looking fixtures against five promotion rivals with 16 points from seven games.”
Parkinson is up against Peterborough’s Darren Ferguson, whose side claimed 11 points from the last six games to move clear of the relegation zone.
Reading’s Noel Hunt is also in the running, after pushing the Royals to the edge of the play-off places despite severe financial issues off the pitch. Reading were unbeaten in March, picking up 12 points from their six games.
Rounding out the nominees is Charlton’s Nathan Jones, with the Addicks now looking like a dark horse for second place if Wrexham slip up. Charlton matched Wrexham’s haul of 16 points in March.

Arthur Okonkwo up for League One Player of the Month award
Elsewhere, the efforts of the Wrexham squad has been recognised, too, with Arthur Okonkwo the standout star who has been nominated for League One’s Player of the Month award.
On the nomination, Sky’s judging panel said: “Okonkwo’s athleticism came to the fore with a series of points-winning saves against fellow promotion contenders Bolton, Wycombe and Stockport, and a breathtaking stop against Rotherham for one of six clean sheets in seven games.”
The Wrexham goalkeeper has been instrumental in the Red Dragons’ recent surge towards promotion, and Okonkwo actually won the League One Fans’ Player of the Month award already. It remains to be seen whether he can do the double now.
Okonkwo is up against Blackpool’s Ashley Fletcher, Charlton’s Macaulay Gillesphey, and Lincoln City’s Jovon Makama for the award.
