Wrexham are looking to put their poor start to the Championship behind them with a victory against Norwich City this weekend.

Phil Parkinson has seemingly identified the three men that will help Wrexham achieve a first win over Norwich City for 55 years.

The three changes to the squad seem to be players who can counter the threat that Josh Sargent will offer Norwich, as stats have identified him as the most dangerous player to Wrexham this weekend.

Should Phil Parkinson successfully be able to nullify Sargent and Norwich with these changes, Wrexham will secure consecutive wins in the second tier for only the third time in their history.

Phil Parkinson believes Dominic Hyam, Ben Sheaf and Issa Kabore can transform Wrexham’s fortunes.

Defensive frailties have been identified as a problem for Wrexham so far this campaign, with Ben Sheaf believing that should the Red Dragons fix these issues, they will have a successful season.

Now, speaking with The Leader, Phil Parkinson has identified the three players that will improve the Wrexham defence to turn results around.

He said: “”I’m very confident we’ve got a good squad of players. We’ve done well in the window; a lot of work has gone in.

“As always, when you make wholesale changes like we’ve done, there’s a lot of players to fit together.

“But we’re getting to know the lads more and more. It’s been good to have Dominic (Hyam), Ben (Sheaf) and Issa (Kabore) with us this week on the training pitch and getting them to fit in with the group.”

Phil Parkinson confident Wrexham’s form will turn around

Speaking ahead of the Norwich City match, Phil Parkinson seemed confident about Wrexham’s chances of securing a victory despite their poor early-season form.

Wrexham are currently sitting in 21st position in the Championship, having only collected four points from their opening five matches; however, he believes that given time he will be able to turn the form around.

He said: “Everyone gets frustrated when we lose, and I totally understand that.

“But I’m looking at the bigger picture of where I know we can get to, and I’m confident of that.

“I’ve just to stay calm and not make decisions where we’re chasing that win, which might impact us going forward.”
