Wrexham manager, Phil Parkinson has now opened up about the influx of new fans supporting his side which he has met with plenty of positivity.
There is plenty to get excited about if you are a Wrexham fan at the moment. This after years of seemingly being stuck in the National League.
That can be the direction that the club is being taken on the pitch by Phil Parkinson. The Reds currently sit second in League Two. Or the off-field positivity coming from Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s ownership of the club.

Following on from last season there has been even more to shout about as this season has been quite superb. This has seen them accrue the best home form in the whole of the 92. This now sees them sit just two points off top.
With all that being said, there is a real positive buzz around the club right now. Now Parkinson has opened up about that.
Parkinson on additional Wrexham support
It won’t come as a surprise to fans given the popularity of ‘Welcome to Wrexham‘ in recent years which has boosted the profile.
This week has seen the series win five Emmys at the ceremony. Even if McElhenney was watching the Eagles, it was still a great achievement.
Given that the show is on Disney+ and Hulu, there is a wide-ranging audience able to watch and know about Wrexham.
This has seen attendance rise over the past few years whether that be locals or fans from afar, more people are interested.
Speaking with Leader Live, Parkinson has picked up on exactly that and shared his opinions on the matter.
He said: “There’s a lot of interest in the club. Sometimes on our travels, you get a lot of neutral fans as well, just coming to have a look at us which is great. We are enjoying every minute of it.
“There’s always people coming to see Wrexham for the first time; they have maybe struggled to get tickets at The Racecourse so they come and watch us in away games. It’s great.”
With the addition of the temporary Kop Stand, the attendance have gone up even more. This has resulted in a record attendance figure for many a year.
It is clear to see that the pressure of more eyes on the club isn’t affecting Parkinson and his side. Their form is certainly evidence of this as they are thriving in League Two.
