Nathan Broadhead hasn’t exactly enjoyed a whirlwind start to life at Wrexham following his summer move from Ipswich Town.
Wrexham paid a club record deal to sign Nathan Broadhead during the summer, with the Welsh international costing £10million from Championship rivals Ipswich Town.
But as Wrexham lost 1-0 against Stoke City last time out, Broadhead was on the bench. He’s started just once in the Championship this season, with one goal in eight total appearances.
Broadhead though is tipped to only get better and better.

Owain Tudur Jones backs Nathan Broadhead at Wrexham
Speaking to BBC Sport, former Welsh footballer Owain Tudur Jones, who played for Swansea City and Bangor City, and for Wales seven times, tipped Broadhead to eventually come good for Phil Parkinson and Wrexham.
He explained: “Nathan’s had a lot of niggly injuries in his career, but when you come in for that big a fee you must be seen as one of the big dogs.
“So as soon as he’s fit – and he looks sharp – they will try and make him the main man. I think it’s okay to have a style of play and a system that has worked so well for so many years but I think Phil Parkinson will be looking to tweak.”
The issue with Nathan Broadhead at Wrexham
Parkinson’s style of play at Wrexham has been criticised, even when the Dragons were winning promotions. It’s not the most attractive style and in the Championship it’s yet to really make an impact.
But Wrexham spent £33million on new signings that fit that system. Broadhead; not really being a striker or an attacking midfielder, doesn’t really seem to fit in anywhere.
Josh Windass partners Kieffer Moore up top and the pair have scored seven league goals between them so far. So to get Broadhead into the XI and back to his best, Parkinson may have to change things up, like Tudur Jones.
Doing so part way into a season, with Wrexham already down in 18th place of the table, is going to be tough.
