Wrexham co-owner, Rob McElhenney has opened up about his return to taking notice of the League Two table in a social media post.
It has been a great season so far for Wrexham in League Two, following on from National League promotion last campaign.
Under the management of Phil Parkinson, the Reds have been on the rise and now find themselves in second place.
This rise has coincided with the ownership of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney who have put so much into the club.
From star signings like Paul Mullin to The Racecourse developments with the Kop stand, there is so much good to speak of.
With that being said, since promotion, there have been fewer sightings of Reynolds and McElhenney at The Racecourse. It seems like that could potentially be about to change in the coming weeks.
What has Rob McElhenney said?
In the National League, it felt like the Hollywood owners were rocking up to North Wales to watch games every week. This has slowed down in League Two, unlike the form that the Reds have been showing.
With 20 games gone, Parkinson’s side currently sit in second place with 37 points. With ten wins and just three losses, it has been a great start to the campaign. In saying that, it appears that one of the owners is getting back into reading the table on a regular basis.
In a post to X, McElhenney said: “I’m back to just staring at the table again running scenarios. I took the whole first half of season off of that practice.”
There is no doubt that the co-owners care about the club and their results. The pair are constantly posting to social media about the Reds. Just look at Reynolds after the Yeovil clash and his post to his huge Instagram page.
It is great to see McElhenney getting back into looking at the table and hopefully, that means he will get to The Racecourse. Seeing the pair watching the Reds is always a great sight to see.
With the form of the teams below, the second spot in the table isn’t too secure. Barrow are on level points and Mansfield, Crewe and Notts County are just a point behind. There is good reason to keep beady eyes on the table moving forward.
It has been a great season, even with the Forest Green postponement, sitting in second place is a top achievement. If the form can be maintained there is no reason why back-to-back promotion isn’t possible.
