Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac have continued to back Wrexham heavily going into 2025/26.
After winning promotion to the Championship, the Red Dragons have made some big changes to their squad.
Ryan Hardie was Wrexham’s first signing of the 2025 summer transfer window, joining from Plymouth Argyle for £700,000.
Danny Ward then arrived as a free agent following his contract with Leicester City expiring.
After Ward, Wrexham broke their transfer record for Liberato Cacace before signing George Thomason from Bolton Wanderers for over £1m.
Most recently, Josh Windass joined on a free after he had his Sheffield Wednesday contract terminated.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac set Wrexham transfer record
Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac made their own Wrexham era history with a move for Cacace as he became the first player to be signed from a club not in the UK or Ireland.
Meanwhile, Reynolds and Mac have now gone one better, and have already sanctioned the club’s highest-spending transfer window ever.
According to Transfermarkt, Wrexham’s five arrivals this summer have set them back €4.73m, which is around £4.1m.
| Player | Price |
| Liberato Cacace | €2.50m (bonuses not included) |
| George Thomason | €1.40m |
| Ryan Hardie | €825k |
| Danny Ward | Free |
| Josh Windass | Free |
The club did spend €4.96m during the 2024/25 season. However, that included both the summer and winter transfer windows last term, meaning this is still their highest-spending singular window.
Wrexham spending to continue with Swansea City close to being overtaken
While it’s already a record window for Wrexham, more signings are expected and one big-money move is thought to be close.
Should it be pulled off, they will overtake rivals Swansea City for expenditure in the current window.
Transfermarkt says that Swansea have an expenditure of €7.80m from their arrivals in the last two months.
But Wrexham are close to signing Lewis O’Brien in what is expected to be another club record transfer.
A £5m fee has previously been touted for the former Swansea loanee, and should he join for just over £3m or more, they will overtake their Welsh rivals in spending this summer.
