Ryan Reynolds heartfelt message to Michael Williamson
Michael Williamson was appointed Wrexham’s chief executive officer back in May 2024 and has ensured the club’s progression during their season in League One.
Not only have things gone well on the pitch but Williamson has planned to improve the infrastructure off the pitch with the Racecourse Ground development approved and training facilities also being upgraded.
Speaking on his Instagram story, Reynolds has paid tribute to the work of Williamson this season and also took the opportunity to make fun of McElhenney.
Reynolds wrote: “Words aren’t agile enough to describe this gentleman. Not Rob. He’s fine. I mean. He’s wonderful. Sure. But Michael Williamson is one helluva pirate masquerading as a corporate suit.”
Wrexham infrastructure could be key in attracting new signings
With the move into the Championship, Parkinson will be analysing his Wrexham squad this summer and identifying areas that need improving.
Williamson has previously spoken about the importance of having quality facilities at the club in order to attract a better quality of player.

Max Cleworth and Harry Ashfield are examples of what having a good academy set up can bring to the club and now the Wrexham aim is to bring their standards up to Championship level both on and off the pitch.
That task will not be completed overnight and it will require patience from everybody across the club however, the Red Dragons have already proven that nothing is impossible for them to achieve.
