Wrexham said a difficult goodbye to Ollie Palmer on Friday, as the striker completed a permanent move to Swindon Town.
Rob Mac aimed for the Championship inside five years of his Wrexham takeover alongside Ryan Reynolds.
Wrexham have made it to the second tier inside four years, but that has brought some difficult decisions.
Paul Mullin joined Wigan Athletic on loan this summer, as he brought an end to his dream spell with Wrexham.
Another popular figure has now moved on, with Ollie Palmer completing a move to Swindon Town on Friday.
Palmer formed a brilliant strike partnership with Mullin, but has now moved on after slipping down the pecking order.

Swindon Town boss Ian Holloway on Ollie Palmer
Palmer received emotional messages from Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds upon leaving Wrexham, as his contract was terminated by mutual consent.
The giant striker made an immediate debut for Swindon, coming off the bench in their 3-0 win over Crewe Alexandra on Saturday afternoon.
Swindon boss Ian Holloway praised Palmer for his display, and has now opened up on his delight over the deal.
Speaking on Swindon’s official YouTube channel, admitted that Palmer has slotted right into the Robins’ squad despite only meeting his new teammates on their way to Crewe.
Holloway added that Palmer’s achievements at Wrexham are ‘totally incredible’, and ultimately hopes to see the striker bring that promotion-winning success to Swindon.
Holloway also hailed Palmer as ‘wonderful’, believing that he knows how to play the ‘ugly’ side of football to bring success to Swindon.
“To get the group on a long away trip, when Ollie Palmer has just met us at Walsall, it might take a while, but he’s just slotted in a treat there,” said Holloway.
“I’m more than delighted, really. What he’s managed to do with Wrexham is totally incredible – no one’s ever done it before, and I hope we can emulate them, at least twice.
“I’m very, very proud of the fact that he saw our club as the next one he wants to play for, out of all of the list of people he could have had, and that’s really down to him meeting the chairman.
“Our conversation was probably an hour-and-a-bit on the phone. I’ve known of him before, never managed him, played against him, and he is just wonderful, an absolutely wonderful football person. He’s not a football snob, he’s a football person, who understands how hard you’ve got to work and how the ugly part of the game is, and if you don’t do that well, you’re never going to win anything,” he added.
Ollie Palmer’s full Swindon Town debut could come against Jack Marriott
Swindon return to action on Tuesday night, taking on Reading in the EFL Trophy.
This may present the ideal chance for Palmer to make his first Swindon start, and it could come against a former Wrexham teammate.
Jack Marriott left Wrexham for Reading just days before Palmer completed his move to Swindon.
The pair were not selected for league action at Wrexham and are still looking to build up their minutes.
The EFL Trophy may give Marriott and Palmer the ideal chance to settle in with their new clubs, and the two former Wrexham forwards could lock horns mere days after saying their goodbyes.
