Wrexham and Paul Mullin are both competing in the third round of the Carabao Cup next month.
While their league form hasn’t been ideal, the Dragons are still going strong in the cup.
Ollie Palmer has won an award after his starring display for Wrexham in the first round of the Carabao Cup versus Hull City.
Palmer was left out earlier this week in the second round of the competition versus Preston North End.
But after going behind in the fixture on two occasions, Wrexham beat Preston 3-2 to advance into the third round for the first time in over four decades.
Paul Mullin was also in action for Wigan Athletic in the Carabao Cup earlier this week.

Paul Mullin set to face Wrexham promotion rival
Mullin featured for Wigan vs Wrexham’s rivals Stockport County, notching 74 minutes of action in a 1-0 win.
It means the Latics, like Phil Parkinson’s side, will compete in the next round in September.
Wrexham will play Reading in the third round, facing off against a player they have just sold to the Royals, Jack Marriott.
As for Wigan and Mullin, they have been drawn against Wycombe Wanderers for their third-round tie.
Wycombe and Wrexham battled for League One promotion in 2024/25, with the latter coming out on top to clinch second place.
The Chair Boys earned a place in the play-offs, but it was Charlton Athletic who instead won promotion to the Championship.
Wrexham played Wycombe twice last season, but Mullin, first because of injury and then because he had been dropped by Parkinson, was not involved in either fixture.

How much can Wrexham earn from Carabao Cup
After seeing off Hull and Preston already, Wrexham have earned prize money from the Carabao Cup.
They took home £5,000 from their win over the Tigers and £7,000 after seeing off Preston.
A win over Reading would net them an extra £10,000 and give them a chance of taking home a further £15,000 in the fourth round.
Should the Dragons somehow win the competition, which seems very, very unlikely, they would receive a six-figure prize.
| Round | Prize money |
| First Round winners | £5,000 |
| Second Round winners | £7,00 |
| Third Round winners | £10,000 |
| Fourth Round winners | £15,000 |
| Quarter-Final winners | £25,000 |
| Semi-Final winners | £25,000 |
| Winner | £100,000 |
The winner of the Carabao Cup also qualifies for the following season’s Europa League.
