Swindon Town fans have a lot to say about their club signing Ollie Palmer from Wrexham.

After much speculation around his future, Ollie Palmer will bring his three-and-a-half-year stint at the Racecourse Ground to an end this month.

It has been reported on Thursday that Ollie Palmer is signing for Swindon Town in League Two.

It’s understood he has travelled for a medical, and the deal should be announced within 24 hours.

Palmer won an award for his final appearance as a Wrexham player, which saw him score twice off the bench to help the Dragons overcome Hull City in the first round of the Carabao Cup.

Now, a fresh chapter is opening for the centre-forward, and his new club’s fans have had a lot to say.

While Palmer struggled at times in League One last season and was eventually dropped, Swindon fans are buzzing with his addition and expect him to perform well for them.

Some are even surprised he is going to choose to join them from Wrexham.

One fan wrote: “WHAT A SIGNING.”

A second reacted: “I’m gobsmacked that he’s actually picked us.”

“What a big signing it would be if we get it done,” stated a third.

A fourth Swindon supporter tweeted: “Get in,” with a fifth adding: “Nahhh sorry whattt.”

Another fan wrote: “Unreal if goes through, one thing for sure this wouldn’t be possible if it wasn’t for the academy so give credit where credit’s due. #stfc”

A seventh claimed: “Proper statement of intent that! Credit where credit is due to clem.”

And another added: “Wow what a big signing up top if we get it done #stfc.”

If a deal gets over the line in the next 24 hours, as has been reported, we could see Palmer return to the pitch very soon.

Swindon play their football in League Two and are back in action on Saturday, August 30.

They will take on Crewe Alexandra in an away meeting at 12:30pm BST that day.

If Palmer does not make his debut in that game, Swindon will then play Chesterfield in an EFL Trophy tie on September 2 at 7pm BST.
