Another player has left Wrexham this summer, a club has confirmed in an official statement.

The exits are continuing at the Racecourse Ground this summer as Wrexham look to comply with EFL Championship squad rules.

Phil Parkinson has an inflated squad, and after the Conor Coady addition, at least five players still need to be let go or left out of the squad for the upcoming season.

Luke Bolton departed Wrexham recently, while Ollie Palmer has had transfer interest from two EFL teams this summer.

Now, another exit has been confirmed this weekend.

Wrexham player leaves club

It recently emerged that Wrexham were loaning out Jake Bickerstaff for the 2025/26 season.

The striker is linking up with Cheltenham Town, where he will play alongside Rob Mac’s favourite player Luke Young.

Cheltenham have now confirmed the news in an official statement via their website, writing: “We are delighted to announce the loan signing of forward Jake Bickerstaff from Championship outfit Wrexham.

“The 23-year-old joins the Robins on a deal until the end of the season having scored as a trialist in our pre-season victory over Swansea City last week.”

On the move, Bickerstaff said: “I just can’t wait to get going really. I really like the environment the players and staff give off and after seeing that, it was a no-brainer for me.

“It’s all been quite a quick turnaround for me but I can’t wait, there’s no better time to come in than just before that first game of the season.

Cheltenham boss Michael Flynn said on the Wrexham loanee: “He did really well in the trial game he played for us so I’m delighted now to get this one over the line.

“If we can get Jake back to how he was 18 months ago then I think we’ll have a very promising player on our hands.

“He knows where the back of the net is. It’s a really positive addition.”

More Wrexham exits expected

Even with Bickerstaff leaving, the Red Dragons still have 30 players aged 21 or above.

Only 25, including goalkeepers, can be registered for the 2025/26 Championship season.

Jacob Mendy could leave on loan. Elsewhere, as we previously revealed, Wrexham have been offering Palmer to multiple teams.

His wages are an issue, but much like the 50/50 split they struck with Wigan Athletic for Paul Mullin, the Dragons are willing to help out financially when it comes to a Palmer exit.
