Wrexham go into their Championship opener with Southampton with a new-look squad following their hectic summer transfer business.
Fans are delighted with the signing of Kieffer Moore as the Wales striker becomes the club’s eighth signing of the window so far.
Lewis O’Brien is now Wrexham’s record transfer following his move from Nottingham Forest, although there is hope that could be broken again with a deal for Nathan Broadhead.
Wrexham’s owners vowed to be aggressive this summer and they are certainly sticking to their word, however, the window has not passed by without huge ‘frustrations’ for the club.

Wrexham frustrated by inflated transfer fees this summer
There is no doubt that the Championship is sitting up and taking notice of Wrexham’s transfer business this summer.
Phil Parkinson has recruited experienced players at this level, sprinkled with the additions of Premier League quality in O’Brien and Conor Coady.
As per the Daily Mail, owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have been left ‘frustrated’ in the window at various points due to the high demands being placed on them from selling clubs.
It was made no secret that the owners were willing to splash the cash this summer and as such, Wrexham have found some stumbling blocks in their negotiations.

The report claimed: “Background checks on players were being done ten to the dozen while there was a degree of frustration, as one source put it, at a ‘Wrexham Tax’ being placed on certain targets by clubs.”
Parkinson and his recruitment team have scoured every corner of the globe looking for players to improve their squad and will be happy with their work so far.
However, as the club continues to progress, Wrexham may get used to teams thinking they can play ‘hard ball’ over transfer fees and agents with player wages.
Wrexham must now look to sell players of their own
Parkinson can only name a 25-man squad for the Championship and currently has over 30 players on the books.
Wrexham’s recruitment model thus far under Reynolds and McElhenney has meant that the club often releases their players and no transfer fee is involved.
However, there are several players under contract that the club will now look to move on this window and can command a significant fee for these assets.

Ollie Palmer could join Wimbledon, although the club would have to offer to pay some of his wages to help facilitate a move away.
The likes of Elliot Lee and George Evans are also likely to depart the club but Wrexham should be demanding fees for these players as they have the quality to contribute elsewhere.
