Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson has made changes to his midfield this summer, just as Andy Cannon ramps up his return from injury.
Wrexham have now made seven summer signings after Conor Coady completed his move to the STōK Cae Ras on Friday.
Phil Parkinson was always going to make changes this summer, and that has included new midfield options.
George Thomason joined Wrexham from Bolton Wanderers, completing a £1.2million move in July.
Wrexham then signed Lewis O’Brien just days later, as Parkinson added quality to his engine room.
Wrexham are stacked with midfield options after those deals, especially with Andy Cannon on the journey back from injury.

Andy Cannon receives special FC 25 card
Cannon suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in February, which tends to leave a player out for around nine months.
Cannon has been seen training, but it may still be a few months until we see the midfielder back in action.
Signed in 2022, Cannon is one of the Wrexham players to have featured in all three promotions under Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds.
A fan favourite for his energy in midfield, Cannon should receive quite the welcome whenever he returns from injury.
Wrexham fans who play FC 25 have now seen Cannon receive a special card as part of the ‘Ultimate Team’ game mode, as seen on fut.gg.
Cannon has received a 96 overall card with 99 shooting, which includes maximum shot power as EA Sports used a play on the ‘Cannon’ surname to give him the most powerful shot in the game.
The card even comes complete with Cannon’s celebration after scoring against Charlton Athletic last season, posing in front of the travelling Wrexham fans.
This may only be a bit of fun on EA’s part, but we love seeing Cannon recognised in any fashion and certainly enjoy seeing him as one of the best midfielders on the game.
Cannon becomes latest special Wrexham card
That Cannon card is a must-have for any Wrexham fans on Ultimate Team, and he is the third Wrexham player to receive a special card on FC 25.
James McClean received a Team of the Week card early in the season, having notched two goals and one assist in the 4-1 win over Northampton Town in October.
Paul Mullin was then given a ‘Grassroots Greats’ card, paying tribute to his rise from non-league to the EFL with Wrexham.
Mullin even landed a Team of the Season card, which left many FC 25 players a little baffled, given his lack of action in 2025.
The card was given for Mullin’s stunning volley against Blackpool, as EA Sports picked that out as one of the moments of the EFL season.
Cannon becomes the latest, with Wrexham fans given the chance to play with boosted versions of their promotion heroes.
