The Wrexham players are out in Las Vegas right now, living it up after securing a third-straight promotion for owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

Wrexham jetted off to Las Vegas this week following their promotion from League One. It’ll be another all-expenses paid trip courtesy of owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney and another brilliant memory for the players who performed so well in 2024/25.

Soon, they’ll return to the UK. Then it’ll be crunch time for Phil Parkinson who has a monumental summer transfer window lying ahead, with Wrexham in need of a lot of new quality ahead of the 2025/26 Championship campaign.

There’s a growing number of players linked with Wrexham and there seems to be a lot of attackers being mentioned: Ryan Hardie and Callum Robinson who’ve just been relegated from the Championship with Plymouth Argyle and Cardiff City respectively.

Another name linked is Patrick Bamford. He’s just been promoted to the Premier League with Leeds United but it’s rumoured that Wrexham want to sign Bamford this summer, after failing in January.

Patrick Bamford says he saw the Wrexham players in Las Vegas

Bamford looks set to leave Leeds United following their promotion, although nothing concrete has been reported as of yet. Speaking in a recent interview with CBS Sports Golazo, though, Bamford has revealed how he coincidentally bumped into the Dragons squad out in Las Vegas.

Leeds United are also celebrating in Vegas right now. Bamford revealed how he and his Leeds teammates were in the same building as Wrexham but that he didn’t go over to them, as he doesn’t know too many of the current players.

Bamford explained: “They were in the same place as us last night, but they were like different sides of the room. To be honest I don’t know too many of them so I didn’t really go over, but you could see on the screen that Wrexham were here as well.”

Patrick Bamford perfectly fits Phil Parkinson’s philosophy at Wrexham

Parkinson has already revealed Wrexham’s transfer plans for the summer. As ever, he wants to keep the dressing room as positive and free of egos as possible, and in that sense Bamford is the perfect man for him.

From his interview with CBS and from what other managers and players have said about him, Bamford seems like a genuinely good guy. On top of that he’s a top player too, especially at Championship level.

It would surely require a wage cut for Bamford to move to the Racecourse. He might even fancy himself in the Premier League too with his contract running until the summer of 2026. But if he wants to play regularly then the Championship may be his best option.
