Wrexham’s task is clear, win their last five remaining games and they will be assured of League One promotion and become the first side to win three successive promotions.
Arthur Okonkwo was rewarded as the division’s player of the month for March after keeping six clean sheets throughout the period and has continued to impress in the recent 3-0 win over Burton.
Phil Parkinson has been named manager of the month in another recognition of the Red Dragons’ recent success and fans have been reacting to the award.

Fans react to Phil Parkinson manager of the month award
After racking up 16 points in the month of March, including a vital 1-0 win over promotion rivals Wycombe at Adams Park, Parkinson is more than deserving of the accolade.
Fan have taken to X to voice their reactions to the news and it is fair to say not all are in agreement with the EFL’s choice however one Wrexham fan simply stated: “Congrats Parky!”
Another Wrexham fan had extremely high praise for the boss, they stated: “About time, in parky we trust, 5/7 w’s (inc vs 3rd/4th) he is mastermind behind the charge for b2b2b ups & wouldn’t be without him – Wrexham afc goat.”
However, rival fans disagree with the choice and there was a lot of claims that Reading’s Noel Hunt should have the winner of the award, one fan stated: “Noel Hunt has been incredible at Reading!”
Wrexham’s form in March could be pivotal in promotion race
With some tough fixtures both at the Racecourse Ground and on the road, Wrexham’s points tally of 16 in the month of March could go a long way to securing promotion.
Wycombe fans still believe in promotion after they closed the gap to just three points but The Chairboys have significantly tougher fixtures on paper in their remaining five games.
