Paul Mullin was handed a rare start when Wrexham clashed with Blackpool on Boxing Day.
Elliot Lee has been partnering Ollie Palmer up front in a lot of the Red Dragons’ recent League One outings.
However, with Lee injured versus Bristol Rovers, Paul Mullin was given his first start for the club since a 1-0 win over Mansfield Town on November 9th.
The forward is Wrexham’s all-time top scorer and has ended the previous three campaigns with at least 20 goals.
2024/25 has not been his season so far, however, with Wrexham fans turning on Mullin last weekend against Bristol.
But the 30-year-old scored against Blackpool after 24 minutes, helping his team pick up a 2-1 win.

Steve Parkins makes Paul Mullin prediction after Wrexham vs Blackpool
Mullin had netted just one League One goal in 19 league matches prior to the meeting with Blackpool.
His last and only strike of the campaign came against Rotherham United on October 19th after just 16 seconds.
However, after scoring his first goal in 11 appearances on Thursday, Wrexham assistant manager Steve Parkin has made an exciting Mullin prediction.
As per Leader Live, the Red Dragons coach is now ‘sure’ more goals will come for the Liverpool-born forward.
He said: “As we well know over the years, he’s got that finish in him,” added Parkin. “Left foot or right foot from distance.
“He has got a violent strike and I am delighted for him and delighted for everybody that he has been able to smash one in which is good.
“He has just got to keep his head down and work hard, and I’m sure more will come.”

Steve Parkin verdict on Wrexham vs Blackpool
Blackpool went 1-0 up after just three minutes on Boxing Day via Ashley Fletcher before Mullin equalised 21 minutes later.
Wrexham then had to wait until the 88th minute to take the lead when Steven Fletcher converted from 12 yards.
Despite leaving it late to secure the win though, Parkin believes his team probably deserved the three points.
He said: “We had the sadness of the last home game when we conceded late and we played very well at Bristol Rovers but it was a painful end to the game so for us to get the late goal was really important.
“I think the way the lads played second half, it was probably justified. First half we didn’t quite have the edge that we wanted in the game and sometimes you have to give the opposition credit.
“They got an early goal which was disappointing from our point of view but they are a good side away from home.
“We weren’t quite bang at it first-half both as a team and individually, the message at half-time was to have a whole-hearted Wrexham performance and let’s lock attacks in.
“Get on the front foot rather than on the back foot, switch play from one side to the other and we were delighted with the way the lads applied themselves.”
