Ben Foster was perfectly summed up with one word by Wrexham director Shaun Harvey.
Wrexham are currently in the midst of their Australia pre-season tour, where they will play three separate opponents from the A-League.
Having already faced Melbourne Victory, Wrexham ran out as 3-0 winners in a game that saw Ryan Hardie shine in the second half of the clash.
Aside from the progress on the pitch that Phil Parkinson’s Wrexham plan to make during the experience, it has also been an opportunity to attract Aussie supporters to the club.
Ben Foster has been invited to Wrexham’s pre-season trip, where he has vlogged the ongoings Down Under. Having spoken to many figures at the club, he chatted to Wrexham director Shaun Harvey, who brilliantly described the former Red Dragons shot-stopper with one word.

Shaun Harvey calls Ben Foster ‘expensive’ in recent Wrexham vlog
Despite leaving the club in 2023, former Wrexham man Ben Foster has kept close ties with all involved with the Red Dragons.
After being invited along on the trip to Australia, Foster published a YouTube video that includes a conversation between himself and Shaun Harvey.
When Foster asks Harvey for one word to describe what sort of player he was for Wrexham, he responds simply by calling him ‘expensive’.
Back in 2023, Foster suggested that he was only earning ‘peanuts’ with the Red Dragons when speaking on his podcast.

Ben Foster offered far more to the club than on the pitch
During Foster’s second tenure at Wrexham in the swan song of his career, he was a reliable figure in-between the sticks, but he offered far more than that.
Foster was Wrexham’s first signing of the Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac era, who had played Premier League football, and was a true sign of intent from the Red Dragons’ owners.
No matter how much Foster was paid during his stint at Wrexham, the goalkeeper helped bring extra eyes on the club as they finally notched their return to the EFL.
Foster’s arrival at the Racecourse Ground alerted the Premier League fans that Wrexham, although in the National League, had incredible ambitions, something they have since lived up to by notching three promotions and being one level away from the top flight of England.
Even now, Foster continues to follow the Wrexham story, with the former Premier League man keen to see the club in the Premier League, a destination they are not far from now.
