Wrexham now know their pathway through their first campaign back in the second tier.
Wrexham were last in the Championship back in 1982, when it was called the old ‘Second Division’ and under Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, the club have made unbelievable progress.
On the pitch, Phil Parkinson has guided the Red Dragons to three successive promotions and off the field Michael Williamson is improving Wrexham’s infrastructure in order to compete at the higher level.
Wrexham will face Southampton in a tough opening game of the campaign at St Mary’s Stadium and after seeing Wrexham’s full fixture list, fans are beginning to come to the realisation that the Red Dragons are back in the big time.

Wrexham fans excited but daunted by Championship fixture release
Wrexham’s key dates and clashes will already be in the minds of supporters as they gear up for a campaign that they could not have dreamed of ten years ago.
However, reality is beginning to hit some fans as to just how challenging the season will be up against some huge clubs with heaps of Premier League experience.
Fans have taken to X to react to the fixtures announcement, one fan wrote: “Reality hits home when see these fixtures, we seriously going to need some proper quality signings to even compete in this league.”
Another Wrexham fan wrote: “I was thinking tough opening month… Then realised all the months are tough! Brings it home that we’re mixing it with the bigs boys now…”
Amongst the understandable scepticism, there is real excitement among supporters, summed up by one fan who wrote: “Imagine that feeling on August 9 when we are singing out hearts out at a proper Premier League ground.”
How Wrexham can compete in the Championship
There is no doubt that Wrexham will head into the season with many people writing off their chances of making an impact upon the league.
However, Wrexham have winning momentum and that is something that Parkinson knows cannot be bought or generated easily in football.
