Wrexham will have to make a tough Paul Mullin call before their game against Southampton.
The Red Dragons and the Saints will meet at St Mary’s in a Championship clash at 12:30pm BST on August 9.
Wrexham are expected to lose against Southampton, according to Opta’s supercomputer, which heavily favours Will Still’s men coming out on top.
It will be a tricky test for the former League One club, but they should be boosted by all of the new signings they have made this season.
One area that has been strengthened particularly well this summer is up front, and that is where the Paul Mullin decision will come in.

Wrexham face Paul Mullin decision before Southampton
Mullin has left Wrexham for Wigan Athletic but remains under contract with the Welsh club until 2027.
However, the influx of attacking talent at the Racecourse Ground has given the Dragons a problem.
At present, Wrexham’s official club website has confirmed Ryan Hardie will take the number 18 shirt this season after his arrival.
However, Kieffer Moore is not currently pictured on the club’s official squad list with a shirt number.
Given that Moore is expected to be an important player under Parkinson, he will most likely want a prominent shirt number.
Number 11 is taken by Jack Marriott, but the number 10, which he wore during a spell at Cardiff City, is technically available now that Mullin has gone out on loan.
Stripping the 30-year-old of the prestigious number he has held since 2021 would be a difficult decision, but it’s possible it could happen.
Alternatively, Ollie Palmer is leaving Wrexham this summer, and Moore could take his number.
Palmer is listed as the no.9 by the club’s site, but as Parkinson has no plans to use him, Moore could take that.

New Wrexham signing shirt numbers
While Moore is yet to be given a shirt number ahead of the Southampton tie, several more new arrivals have already been handed one.
Goalkeeper Danny Ward is listed as number 21, with Arthur Okonkwo keeping number 1.
Former record signing Liberato Cacace is number two, while the new record transfer, Lewis O’Brien, is 27.
Josh Windass has taken the number 17, George Thomason is listed on the site without a number, and like Moore, Conor Coady does not feature at the time of writing.
