Rival Championship fans are having a field day following an announcement made by Wrexham.
The Championship season is now just over a week away, and Wrexham will be competing for the first time in over forty years.
A clash with Southampton awaits the Red Dragons on August 9, and in the meantime, the transfers continue to roll in at the Racecourse Ground.
The Welsh club have confirmed the signing of Conor Coady on August 1, with the centre-back joining for around £2m from Leicester City.
Wrexham fans love the Coady transfer getting over the line, but Leicester City supporters have been less kind.

Leicester City fans on Conor Coady joining Wrexham
Coady spent the 2024/25 season at the King Power Stadium as the Foxes were relegated to the Championship.
Now, Leicester fans have taken to social media to mock Wrexham’s move for the stopper and their former goalkeeper, Danny Ward.
One opted to create a less-than-flattering AI image.
A second responded to the news by writing: “Best news this week.”
“Goodbye, Connor, you won’t be missed,” tweeted a third.
A fourth Leicester fan reacted: “Thank god you’ve taken him AND Danny Ward.”
Another wrote: “Brilliant news, awful player,” with a sixth adding: “He will do really well for that TV show, but nothing else…”
Wrexham fans should not be worried about Conor Coady
Coady made a total of 43 appearances for Leicester, including 12 when they won promotion from the Championship in 2023/24.
The most recent season was a struggle for the stopper, but every single Foxes player, especially their defenders, really struggled in the Premier League.
Previously, the new Wrexham signing has excelled, and the Wolverhampton Wanderers verdict on Coady is much more positive.
