Wrexham enjoyed a fruitful end to the summer transfer window, signing three more players before the 7pm deadline.
Wrexham were hard at work this summer. The Dragons managed to end the window with 13 new signings and £40million in spending, with a busy deadline day to finish off the window.
As Monday’s 7pm deadline approached, Phil Parkinson’s Wrexham signed three more players on deadline day with Ben Sheaf, Dom Hyam, and Issa Kabore all joining.
Owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac forked out another £6.5million on Sheaf, with Hyam costing £2.7million. Kabore meanwhile joins on loan from Man City.
The 24-year-old right-back has been with City since 2020 but is yet to make his Premier League debut for the club, instead going out on several loan spells having spent time with the likes of Benfica and Werder Bremen among others.

Wrexham new boy Issa Kabore plays in record-breaking win
Kabore brings with him a wealth of experience. He’s played in multiple leagues across Europe and he’s also been a regular for Burkina Faso for some years now, with an impressive 53 caps and two goals to his name.
Right now, Kabore is among the Wrexham players away on international duty. On Friday he played in his nation’s World Cup qualifier against Djibouti which actually goes down in Burkina Faso history as their biggest ever competitive win.
Kabore played the full 90 as Burkina Faso ran out as 6-0 winners. Burkina Faso have never played in a World Cup before but have been regular features in the African Cup of Nations, reaching the final in 2013 and finishing 3rd in 2017.

Issa Kabore has already made history with Burkina Faso
Burkina Faso have produced some quality players over the years, and continue to do so. Among the current crop of stars is of course Kabore, as well as Bertrand Traore who recently signed for Sunderland in the Premier League.
Kabore though is certainly a star and someone who never fails to make the Burkina Faso team. In fact, Kabore was named the African Cup of Nations’ Best Young Player for the 2021 competition.
Parkinson will hope his experience on the international stage will serve Wrexham well in the Championship this season, as the Dragons look to secure what would be an unthinkable fourth-straight promotion and land themselves in the Premier League.
