Wrexham head into the first international break of the 2025/26 season on a high, having made a number of shrewd acquisitions on deadline day.
After picking up their first Championship win in over four decades by beating Millwall 2-0, Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac continued what’s quite the summer spending spree, dishing out a further £9.2m to bring three players through the door on deadline day.
These acquisitions of Ben Sheaf from Coventry, Dominic Hyam from Blackburn and Issa Kabore took Wrexham’s total spend for the summer transfer window to a club record £32.8m – which is more than what Spanish giants Barcelona spent.
While Wrexham succeeded in bringing in the Championship-level quality that Phil Parkinson called for, they also managed to secure the services of a number of senior international players too.
Here’s where those international players will be playing during the September break.
Nathan Broadhead – Wales
Wrexham’s club record signing, Rob and Ryan forked out an initial £7.5m – a fee which could rise to £10m – for Nathan Broadhead’s services during the summer transfer window.

The talented forward is yet to really get going in a Wrexham shirt since his move, so fans will be hoping that some time with the Welsh national team will do him the world of good over the next two weeks.
While unlikely to start for Craig Bellamy’s side, Broadhead is expected to be used as an impact substitute for Wales’ upcoming World Cup qualifier against Kazakhstan and the friendly meeting with Canada.
Broadhead has 14 senior caps to his name to date, scoring two goals – one of which was actually scored at the Racecourse Ground in a Wales win over Gibraltar.

Dominic Hyam – Scotland
A late deadline day signing, Wrexham signed Dominic Hyam from Blackburn Rovers for a reported £2.7m fee, bringing their summer spending to an end.
The nature of the September international break, however, means that Wrexham fans will have a bit of a wait before seeing their new star centre-back feature for the club.
In the meantime, fans will be able to catch a glimpse of Hyam while he’s on international duty with Scotland. The centre-back will be hoping to add to his one senior cap with the national team by getting some minutes in their crucial World Cup qualifying clashes with Denmark and Belarus.

Issa Kabore – Burkina Faso
Another deadline day acquisition, Issa Kabore was a rare loan signing from Phil Parkinson – the only one of the summer transfer window, in fact.
Kabore joins on a season-long loan from Manchester City and will provide some much-needed quality competition for places in the right wing-back role.
Before he suits up for Wrexham though, Kabore is off on international duty with Burkina Faso. Despite being just 24 years old, the wing-back has racked up an impressive 49 senior caps already.
He’s widely expected to start both of Burkina Faso’s World Cup qualifiers against Djibouti and Egypt this September.

Kieffer Moore – Wales
It’s fair to say that Kieffer Moore has become an instant fan favourite at the Racecourse Ground in recent weeks.

Having joined from Sheffield United, Moore has hit the ground running at Wrexham, scoring three goals in four games prior to the international break.
The 34-year-old forward will be looking to continue that fine form while on international duty with Wales and add to his 14 goals for his nation thus far.
