Wrexham ended their season in style with a 2-0 win at Lincoln but attentions are already turning to the next campaign.
Wrexham’s players are off to Las Vegas for their end of season celebrations funded by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney but Phil Parkinson will be staying behind to relax and begin preparations.
The transfer links have already started with the club expected to be busy this summer, Steven Fletcher’s contract decision needs to be made this month and Wrexham are linked with Callum Robinson.
The Wrexham squad is likely to look a lot different come the start of the Championship campaign and the club have been urged to sign a player that came up against in League One this season.

Wrexham urged to sign Kwame Poku from Peterborough
Wrexham have been told they need six to nine signings in order to compete in the second tier and Parkinson will know that he needs to be intelligent with his recruitment.
Historically, the Red Dragons have looked to recruit more experienced players from higher divisions but signings such as Sam Smith may indicate a slight change in strategy.
One opportunity that has arisen is Kwame Poku of Peterborough and journalists and Wrexham fans Rich Fay and Nathan Salt of the Rob.Ryan.Red podcast have urged the club to sign the exciting talent.
As per BBC Sport, Poku was described by his manager Darren Ferguson as the ‘best player in the league’ and was named in the League One team of the season despite missing a large chunk of the season with injury.
Poku made 31 appearances for Peterborough across all competitions this season and scored an impressive 12 goals, whilst also contributing 11 assists.
Wrexham would face Kwame Poku transfer complications
A deal for Poku would not be easy for Wrexham to negotiate despite Peterborough already announcing the departure of the player.
Poku is set to leave the Posh at the end of his contract but will receive a compensation fee for the player given he is under the age of 24.
Birmingham are also interested in Poku and Peterborough Chairman Darragh MacAnthony expects a sizeable compensation fee for the player as stated on his podcast ‘The Hard Truth’.
MacAnthony stated: “There are many things a tribunal takes into account when setting a transfer fee, The offers we have already had are part of that as are his appearances, his goals, the contract offer we have made him and what we have paid in transfer fees ourselves, so we will still get millions and millions for him.”
It may be a difficult deal to pursue but it would be quite a coup for the Red Dragons if they could persuade Poku to come to the Racecourse Ground.
