Wrexham’s wage bill for the 2025/26 Championship season has now been revealed, and there has been a major increase.
Wrexham made huge changes to their squad over the summer, adding 13 senior players to Phil Parkinson’s squad.
While some arrivals were secured on free transfers, the club’s spending reached £33m before factoring in add-ons in deals for Callum Doyle, Nathan Broadhead and Liberato Cacace.
It made the Dragons the third-highest spenders in the Championship and was the most money Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac have ever paid out in one season since their 2021 takeover.
While the transfer outlay was high, the influx of new talent has seen Wrexham’s wage bill increase a great deal as well.

Wrexham 2025/26 wage bill
Currently, the latest set of accounts available are from the 2023/24 season, when the Welsh side were competing in League Two.
Wrexham made record profits during that campaign, with a turnover of nearly £27m.
In those accounts, it was confirmed that their wage bill for everyone at the club, not just players, was £11.044m.
However, that total has been smashed out of the park this season by some distance, according to Capology.
It’s reported that Wrexham are now paying £349,750-a-week or £17,875,000-a-year to their players.

Who is Wrexham’s highest-paid player
This season, finance experts say that Wrexham expect to earn £50m in revenue, and given they are paying out nearly £18m in wages before factoring in any non-playing personnel, such a target is clearly necessary.
As expected, a number of the summer signings dominate the top end of the wage-bill list.
Kieffer Moore, who arrived from Sheffield United in a £2m deal, is reported to be the highest earner, taking home £30,000-a-week.
