Wrexham ended the transfer window with a flurry of transfer activity, but one player must now be worried.
Wrexham signed three players on deadline day, adding a new midfielder, centre-back and right-back to their already huge squad.
There were exits as well, including George Evans’ contract being terminated and both Jacob Mendy and Tom O’Connor joining Peterborough United on season-long loan deals.
However, as Wrexham signed three players and sold three players, their squad size remains the same.
Phil Parkinson must pick his Championship squad by 7pm BST on September 2 so the club can submit their list to the EFL, and players will be left out.

Eoghan O’Connell must regret staying at Wrexham after rumours
Currently, Wrexham have 29 players aged 21 or above on the books.
This means that four players will be left out of their Championship side for the coming months.
Andy Cannon is an obvious exclusion given he remains sidelined following an injury picked up last season.
But as for the other three players, it does seem likely that Eoghan O’Connell will be one of the names to miss out.
Humphrey Ker called O’Connell Wrexham’s Player of the Season towards the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
However, the defensive additions made this summer mean that he has fallen far down the centre-back pecking order.

Having extra cover at centre-back would be ideal for Parkinson in case of injury or suspension issues.
But given he already has an inflated squad, it seems clear that O’Connell will now be one of the names to be left out.
20-year-old Aaron James, who does not need to be registered in the Championship squad, is another option.

Eoghan O’Connell had rumoured transfer interest
While he has stayed put, there was some suggestion the centre-back had interest on deadline day.
There was nothing concrete, but there were rumours that Wrexham’s old promotion rival, Wycombe Wanderers, were interested in completing a deal.
Had he dropped back down to League One, O’Connell would have most likely played regularly in the coming months.
But he’s now facing the prospect of playing very little, if any, football from now until January.
