It has been an excellent 2024/25 season for Wrexham so far and there should still be plenty more to look forward to.

The Red Dragons are plying their trade in League One for the first time in over 20 years but are more than holding their own.

Despite being in the National League in 2023, Wrexham have taken to the trials and tribulations of the third tier like a duck to water.

We are over halfway through the campaign and automatic promotion remains a real possibility for the Welsh outfit.

Wrexham had a productive January transfer window, which included Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds sanctioning a club-record transfer for Sam Smith to ease their striker woes.

Now, with much to look forward to in the coming months, we have made three exciting Wrexham predictions for the remainder of 2024/25.

Ryan Reynolds pays a visit to Wrexham

As is to be expected given their schedules and the fact they live in North America, Rob and Ryan don’t get to too many games.

McElhenney travelled to Wrexham earlier in the season to watch his team lose to Tom Brady’s Birmingham City.

Meanwhile, Reynolds attended the Cambridge United meeting back in December alongside fellow Hollywood A-lister, Channing Tatum.

Wrexham were held to a draw on that occasion and the actor will no doubt be keen to get back to the Racecourse Ground at some point this season to watch his beloved Wrexham pick up a victory.

He usually makes it to a few games a campaign, and with just one attended so far, at least one more visit is likely before 2024/25 comes to a close.

Ryan Longman hits double figures for assists at Wrexham

Ryan Longman joined Wrexham from Hull City in January and has quickly cemented himself as a key player.

Depsite playing as backup to Ryan Barnett, the ex-Tigers star is beginning to show how crucial he could prove to be in the remainder of the season.

The versatile wing-back provided the assist when Elliot Lee scored the winner against Crawley Town over the weekend.

More recently, Longman shone for Wrexham versus Port Vale, providing two more assists to take his tally to three in three games.

He’s not expected to start too many League One games ahead of Barnett, but he’s already shown he can be a threat off the bench, and with the Welsh side still going strong in the EFL Trophy, there should be plenty more opportunities for Longman to reach 10 assists in the rest of 2024/25.

Wrexham see off Wycombe Wanders and Huddersfield Town to win promotion

A third successive promotion for Wrexham would be quiet the achievement but it’s certainly something that is very achievable.

Their three new signings in the winter window should give Parkinson and co. a real shot at pipping Wycombe Wanderers and Huddersfield Town to second place.

Wrexham are currently four points adrift of second-place Wycombe, but on paper, the American-owned club have a much stronger squad coming out of January.
