Parkinson will not sign a player purely for shirt sales but if he can find a player from North America that can add value to his squad as well as raise the profile of the club, he would surely be tempted.
Here are three Canadian players that Wrexham could look to sign this summer.
Tajon Buchanan
Tajon Buchanan impressed during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar as his pace and creativity shone on the wing for Canada.
Club Brugge had signed Buchanan in the January transfer window before the tournament from MLS outfit New England before Inter Milan signed the winger in 2024.
This season, Buchanan has spent time on loan at Villarreal but as per Canadian Soccer Daily, the Spanish side are unlikely to make the move permanent.
Wrexham would provide first-team football for Buchanan and an opportunity to showcase his talents in the bright lights of English football.
He would certainly bring attacking firepower to Parkinson’s squad and would cause real problems for opposition defences, Buchanan himself will also want some form heading into a home World Cup next summer.
Alistair Johnston
Alistair Johnston has excelled for Celtic since his move to the Scottish champions from Montreal in January 2023.
The right-back has featured on 47 occasions this season across all competitions and is known for his tough tackling and defensive intelligence.
Johnston also provides a real attacking outlet on the right flank and could be perfect as a right wing-back in Parkinson’s system.
His performances in Celtic’s Champions League run earned him many plaudits and the opportunity to play in England could be too good to turn down for the Canada international with 53 caps to his name.

Daniel Jebbison
Daniel Jebbison has already spent some time in the Championship this season following a loan spell at Watford.
The 21-year-old striker failed to score in 13 appearances for the Hornets before being recalled due to Bournemouth’s increasing injury situation in attacking areas.
Since returning to the Premier League, Jebbison is still without a goal but has impressed with his sharp movement and ability to bring others into play.
He scored two goals during Bournemouth’s FA Cup quarter-final run and would represent a smart loan move for the Red Dragons.
Pace and power, coupled with experience of playing at a higher level, Jebbison would become a focal point at Wrexham and that is something he would thrive from.
