Wrexham head in to a huge League One encounter with fellow promotion rivals Wycombe Wanderers off the back of a worrying performance at Reading.
Wrexham were not at it from start to finish in the 2-0 defeat against the Royals with fans particularly disappointed with Sebastian Revan’s performance.
The defeat meant Phil Parkinson’s side missed the chance to move into the League One automatic promotion places but get another opportunity as they visit Adams Park in a promotion ‘six pointer.’
Parkinson has a number of injury concerns heading into the clash with Wycombe with the midfield and wing-back areas the hardest hit. It means that Paul Mullin could be set for a return to the squad however, his relationship with the manager has not been the best for a while.

Paul Mullin hinted at break down in relationship with Phil Parkinson in 2024
Former Wrexham star Iwan Roberts believes Mullin and Parkinson have fallen out after the 30-year-old striker has failed to feature in any of the last eight matchday squads in the league for the Red Dragons.
It is not the first time that Mullin has been left out for a period of time under Parkinson, he spent a spell out the side during the last campaign as Wrexham lost four consecutive matches in League Two before recovering to gain promotion.
Speaking on season 3, episode 6 of the ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ documentary the striker revealed how he felt about being left out and hinted at his displeasure towards Parkinson.
Mullin stated: “There’s a saying that people say if they’re missing chances don’t worry about it for centre forwards but for me it’s the opposite if I’m missing the chances then it’s time to worry because it’s not what I do.
“I sort of felt that maybe because I hadn’t scored for a few games the gaffer lost faith in me and I think that his lit a switch in me to take it on the chin and get on with it.”
Parkinson should learn lesson from previous campaign with Mullin
During the 2023-24 campaign, after having been dropped for clashes with MK Dons and Gillingham, Mullin was restored to the side and ultimately produced a run of form that earned Wrexham promotion.
Starting with a late equaliser against Forest Green, Mullin then produced a hat trick in a 3-0 win over Accrington Stanley before scoring 14 goals in the last 13 league games.

| Appearances | 13 |
| Goals | 14 |
| Assists | 3 |
With injuries hitting the current Wrexham squad, there can be no better and more experienced player to turn to during Parkinson’s hour of need.
Whatever may have occurred off the pitch should not be impacting on it and Mullin is more than capable of producing the goods during a promotion run in if required.
