Wrexham were held to a 1-1 draw by Bristol Rovers on Saturday afternoon, dealing their promotion hopes a massive blow.
Wrexham could have ended Saturday back in the automatic promotion places with a win.
However, Phil Parkinson saw his players drop points for the second game in a row, once again conceding late on.
Elliot Lee fired the visitors into an early lead, with his team going on to dominate the remainder of the first 45.
As has so often been the case this season, especially on the road, no second goal was forthcoming and the Red Dragons were made to pay.
Wrexham drew 1-1 with Bristol Rovers and are now level on points with Birmingham City having played three games more.
What Parkinson did on Saturday, meanwhile, gives us a very good indication of his plans for one player.

Jon Dadi Bodvarsson missing for Wrexham vs Bristol Rovers
Wrexham’s striking problems are well documented at this point and were on full display once more over the weekend.
However, despite his current centre-forward options still failing to find the back of the net, the manager yet again left Jon Dadi Bodvarsson out of the matchday squad.
Bodvarsson joined Wrexham as a free agent in October after Jack Marriott’s injury but has started just one League One tie this term and has now been left out by Parkinson for five games in a row.
Matty James signed a new contract this week after arriving at the club at the same time as the striker.
James provided a superb assist vs Bristol and had firmly established himself as a key player.
But with Bodvarsson’s contract now up in 10 days, Parkinson has seemingly made it very clear he doesn’t want to use him despite all his other nines underperforming.

Who will start up front for Wrexham vs Blackpool
Wrexham can bounce back from yet another draw against a poor side on December 26th.
The Hollywood-owned club will host Blackpool in a League One meeting at the Racecourse but who Parkinson will start up front is very much up in the air.
Lee is now a doubt after his injury on Saturday, while Paul Mullin was once more poor when he came on.
Steven Fletcher and Modou Faal are the other natural options, but fans probably won’t want to see any of them take to the pitch after their recent showings.
New striking additions should be forthcoming in January, however, with Leeds United pair Patrick Bamford and Joe Gelhardt linked to Wrexham.
For at least the next two games though, Parkinson will have to make do with what he’s got.
