Phil Parkinson will certainly unleash one Wrexham star vs Hull City as he looks to write off a previous difficult spell with the Tigers.
The Red Dragons will be hoping to get their first win on the board of the season as Wrexham host Hull City in the EFL Cup.
Wrexham showed plenty of promise in their defeat vs Southampton, and there is hope that the first game at the Racecourse Ground can show the new signings in a positive light.
For the tie against Hull City, changes to the Wrexham side are expected, with it looking likely Ryan Hardie will replace the injured Kieffer Moore, who went off in the defeat to Southampton, whilst some more familiar faces will return to the starting 11.
Ryan Longman is likely to start for Wrexham after notching a substitute appearance against Southampton, and the Red Dragons wing-back will have every reason to hope for a win against his former side, Hull City.

Phil Parkinson should unleash Ryan Longman vs Hull City
Since he joined the club in January 2025, Ryan Longman has shone on occasions for Wrexham, especially in the League One days.
The Wrexham wide-man joined the club from Championship side Hull City, who he will be keen to face off against on Tuesday night in the EFL Cup.
After playing a key role in the 2022/23 Championship season, Longman was cast to the side at Hull City before he was sent on a loan move to Millwall.
Longman also received criticism from Hull City fans during his time at the club, which he responded to by saying: “It’s a funny game, football. Everyone’s got an opinion, everyone has an opinion, and that’s just life. As a player, you’re not going to make everyone happy. You’ve got to take the positives from the game. I was upset I missed that chance, but it was positive I got into that position, and I need to keep getting into those positions.

Who Ryan Longman will replace in the Wrexham side
With it looking likely that Phil Parkinson will chop and change his options ahead of Wrexham welcoming Hull City to the Racecourse Ground, Ryan Longman is set to start in front of his former side.
It is expected that Ryan Barnett will make way for the Red Dragons’ star, as it is expected that Parkinson will be keen to rest some of his key players ahead of Wrexham’s second Championship game at home to West Brom.
The importance of having a large squad at this early stage of the season cannot be emphasised enough, as it gives Parkinson the option to test new players in the cup and let him experiment before they take to the field in the Championship once again.
