Wrexham have been linked with a move for West Ham United ace Andy Irving, and Red Dragons fans will be keen for such a move to progress after learning what Hammers fans once chanted about him.
The Red Dragons have made several new signings this season, and Wrexham owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac have no desire to stop there.
Both Reynolds and Mac have significantly backed Phil Parkinson this summer as Wrexham look to stay in the Championship at a minimum, and as a result, it looks as though the Red Dragons are set to bring in even more recruits.
After signing a healthy number of attackers, attention has now turned to bolster Parkinson’s midfield options.
Wrexham are keen on signing Andy Irving from West Ham United, and whilst on the surface it seems like a smart acquisition, it goes far beyond that after learning that the Scotsman has notched a brilliant reputation at the London Stadium.

What West Ham United fans once sang about Andy Irving against Chelsea
West Ham United signed Andy Irving from Austrian side SK Austria Klagenfurt, and whilst his game time for the Hammers has been limited, he has still made an impact on the supporters.
The Scottish international was predominantly used from off the bench for the Hammers in their 2024/25 Premier League season, but he was handed one start in a trip to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea.
In the trip across the English capital, West Ham fans showed their support for Irving in a rather endearing but comedic fashion, chanting ‘you’re just a s__ Andy Irving’ to Cole Palmer when the English international blazed a shot over the bar, as spotted by Roshane Thomas.
West Ham went on to lose the Premier League clash 2-1, but via SofaScore, Irving recorded a promising performance, recording 36 touches and a passing success rate of 79%.

Andy Irving has already told Wrexham what to expect from him
Wrexham-linked Andy Irving has been in-and-around the West Ham United first-team squad for the past season, but has struggled to tie down a regular spot in the starting side.
Despite a difficult season regarding game time, the Scotsman still believes he has developed brilliantly, which may have prepared him brilliantly for a move to the Racecourse Ground.
Via the West Ham United YouTube channel, Irving said: “I think, over this season, I’ve really improved and really kicked on. I just want to keep pushing for as many opportunities as I can get and, when I get the opportunities, it’s about doing well and taking them.
“As a football player, technically with the ball, I believe I have the level to play in the Premier League. But the physical side and the speed of the game are areas I want to improve on in the months ahead.”
