Wrexham come into the January transfer window in good form but it does still pose an opportunity to add to the squad. Who should the Reds be signing?

It has been a great season so far for Wrexham as they currently sit in second place in League Two at the time of writing.

With Phil Parkinson at the wheel, the Reds have gone from strength to strength and look like genuine promotion contenders.

Coming into the January transfer window, there are some areas which could be added to. These would help create a better squad and better fit for a promotion push.

There have been some standout names at The Racecourse so far this campaign and some additional quality could help them.

With all that being said, who should Wrexham be signing in January?

Saidou Khan

In recent weeks, there have been links to Saidou Khan for the Reds as they look for some additional midfield depth.

The Gambian international has had a positive season so far and has made quite the impression for Swindon Town. With over 50 appearances over the course of the past year, he has become a regular in their side.

As a 27-year old, he has plenty of experience in the National League and of League Two which would mean he poses less risk.

As defensive cover in the midfield for George Evans, Khan could be an ideal option as a signing.

Billy Sharp

It is a controversial one and not many Wrexham fans will like the prospect of this signing but it does kind of make sense.

With injuries hampering the forward options for Parkinson’s side, paired with a general lack of form recently, a striker coming in could be useful.

Despite Billy Sharp not being the most popular figure around The Racecourse, there is no doubt of the goalscoring talent that he has. Especially in the EFL in recent times.

He may not be the most popular man around these parts but there is no doubt he would score goals in some capacity.

Jonson Clarke Harris

Jonson Clarke Harris is another striker option and another that would almost guarantee goals for Parkinson’s side should he be signed in January.

It has been reported in the past that Peterborough wanted rid of him and Wrexham did sniff around in the summer window.

So far this season he has scored four goals in 12 games in League One. A drop-down to League Two may not be wanted by the Englishman. With that being said, if he did he could be one of the best players in the league.

There will be an opportunity for the Reds to add to their squad this winter, hopefully, they make some quality signings.
