Wrexham are now looking to make further additions to Phil Parkinson’s squad, having landed Ryan Hardie last week.
The summer transfer window appeared to be starting slowly for Wrexham, but a couple of big moves have now been made.
Wrexham signed Ryan Hardie last week, luring the Scottish striker away from Plymouth Argyle thanks to a relegation release clause.
As one striker arrives, another departs, with Paul Mullin completing a loan move to Wigan Athletic on Monday.
Mullin found himself out of Wrexham’s plans, and Phil Parkinson allowed him to move on in search of first-team action.
Wrexham will now turn the focus to other targets, with Parkinson seemingly keen to add quality in midfield.

Wolves now expect Tommy Doyle exit
Reports earlier in June suggested that Wrexham are interested in signing Tommy Doyle from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The former Manchester City talent joined Wolves for £4.3million after a successful loan spell, as noted by BBC Sport.
Doyle made 24 Premier League appearances this past season, but Wrexham are still eyeing him up for a summer move.
The Express and Star now claim that Doyle is ‘expected’ to depart Molineux, with Wolves looking to send him out on loan.
Rumours around Wrexham’s initial interest suggested that Wolves may sell, but the Premier League side are seemingly looking for a loan instead.
The report adds that Wrexham have ‘genuine interest’ in signing Doyle, but so do Championship rivals Birmingham City.
Sunderland are also keen on Doyle after winning promotion to the Premier League, but the Black Cats may need to be selective with their Premier League loans.
The Black Cats are only allowed two loans from other Premier League clubs, and Sunderland may be wary of rushing into using one of them on Doyle.
That at least gives Wrexham some hope of a deal, with Wolves seemingly seeking a temporary home for their talented midfielder.

Phil Parkinson eyeing Premier League loans
Wrexham have risen through the leagues rapidly in the Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds era, breaking the club’s transfer record on multiple occasions.
One thing we haven’t really seen is loan deals.
Wrexham have struck just two loan deals under Parkinson, and both ended up becoming permanent.
Goalkeepers Arthur Okonkwo and Luke McNicholas joined Wrexham on loan before signing full-time deals at the STōK Cae Ras.
Parkinson has admitted interest in loan deals this summer, though, believing that he can land top talents from Premier League clubs.
Doyle would certainly fit that bill and may not be the last Premier League talent linked with a move to Wrexham this summer.
